Mike Fisher

Mike FisherMike is a wine industry specialist in mergers and acquisitions, valuations, corporate finance and wine business advisory services.  He is a valuation specialist, having prepared hundreds of winery and vineyard valuations.  He has testified as an expert witness in many wine businesses litigation cases, principally related to economic damages due to lost profits and valuation issues for both wineries and vineyards.

Mike has degrees in accounting from the University of Missouri and enology from the University of California, Davis.  He was a Partner with Motto Kryla & Fisher LLP, wine industry CPA’s for 17 years, CFO of  Joseph Phelps Vineyards for 7 years and was with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mike speaks at numerous wine industry seminars and conferences including those sponsored by the Napa Valley Grape Growers Association, California Association of Winegrape Growers, University of California-Davis, American Society for Enology and Viticulture, Sonoma State University, Napa Valley College, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants and Office International de la Vigne et du Vin (OIV).  He has made presentations on winery value and economics at conferences sponsored by The Appraisal Institute, The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and the American Society of Appraisers and has testified on wine industry matters before the California Legislature Assembly and Senate Committees.
