We also offer wide format printing services to compliment our range of web design and graphic design services.

This includes wide format giclee printing on inkjet canvas, fine art paper, photo paper, and other inkjet papers for advertisement production, photography reproduction, fine art reproduction, point of purchase signage and banners, and many other printing services.

We use only the highest quality materials manufactured by Breathing Color, an industry leading designer and supplier of inkjet paper for fine art reproduction (giclee) and banner printing applications.

What is a giclee? Giclees are printed on wide format printers such as the Epson 9880 and Epson 11880

While the latest Giclee printers use 6 or more colors, traditional printing is 4 colors: a lot of the pigments artists choose simply cannot be reproduced. The gamut (Range of colors reproduced) is higher with giclees. Manufacturers added extra pigments such as light cyan, light magenta, to increase chromatic rendition. Regarding pigments, make sure that your giclee provider uses pigments and not dyes for printing. This is an essential component to insure lasting reproductions. Every printer has different characteristics: A measure of DPI (dots per inch) is often overrated as to the only measure of quality. There are 300 DPI professional machines capable of rendering artwork of a much higher quality than a consumer level printer rated at 720 or 1,440 DPI. Ultimately, even with all the math and gamut graphs available, the true test is to observe a giclee print next to the original. Use a lupe if one is available to discern any dot pattern.

Giclée printing reflects the long-standing European tradition of rendering an image one at a time. Each piece of fine art paper or inkjet canvas is carefully hand mounted onto a drum. A trained technician requires just over one hour to create one fine art inkjet paper print print. These printers produce an apparent resolution of 1800 dots per inch while spraying over 1 million droplets per second onto your selected substrate. There are no screens used with this method of fine art reproduction hence there is a smoother look to the final giclee print. The preciseness of giclee printing along with the depth of color range captures the subtleties and nuances of an original image be it water color, oil or acrylic.

For inkjet canvas work, we exclusively use Breathing Color's Brilliance Chromata White Canvas. This is a textured 20.5 mil Bright White, consistent Poly Cotton Blend inkjet Canvas using an acid-free, neutral pH coating. Unlike 99.9% of available inkjet canvas products on the market today this inkjet fine art canvas utilizes the "Chromata White" optical brightener additive-free and Fluorescent Whitening agent-free breakthrough technology.

"Chromata White" gives the end-user the most stable platform on which to print photographs and fine art works without the metamerism issues or color shift issues inherent on other inkjet canvas. Optical Brighteners compromise the attainment of true color, they complicate profiling accuracy, and they inevitably deteriorate and yellow over time.

Because we print using Epson 9800 and Epson 9600 printers, and since our print quality must match our design quality, we only use Breathing Color's proprietary product line. Breathing Color is the only manufacturer who also sells direct to end user printmaking companies. This way, these expensive products can be obtained at a more reasonable price than they would be if sold through distributors. They also provide free icc profiles for download on their web site which is ideal for producing true color accuracy with every single print.
